Ensure successful patching

To ensure successful patching at once, make sure that you have the latest version of Windows installer installed on your computer (version 2.0 or later) before patching. In case of an unsuccessful patching, you must uninstall SIMCA-P/P+, reinstall SIMCA-P/P+, install the latest version of Windows Installer and reapply the patch.

Check version of Windows installer

To check the current version of Windows installer: Start | Run, type msiexec.

Download latest version of Windows installer

The latest version can be downloaded from Microsoft at:

Windows Installer Redistributable for Windows NT 4.0 and 2000
