Problem with SPC-files containing unevenly spaced ordinal values (Q681)

The information in this article applies to:

  • SIMCA-P+ 12
  • SIMCA-P+ 12.0.1

Symptoms

If your file contains a vector with unevenly spaced ordinal values and you choose to import them as an observation to be used for plotting, the values in that observation will be wrong. This means that if you plot your data e.g. spectra, against that observation, peaks etc may end up at the wrong place (e.g. wavelength) compared with the real spectra. Note that all calculations and models will be correct, only the axis will be incorrect

Status

This will be fixed in the next release of SIMCA-P+.
