The Management Team of Umetrics consists of experienced senior Managers, whom all are carrying a higher academic degree and experiencing several years of top positions in high tech companies.
Nouna Kettaneh-Wold, General Manager Nouna Kettaneh-Wold has been President of Umetrics US Operations since 1997, and is General Manager of Umetrics since January 2006. Mrs. Kettaneh-Wold has a M.Sc. Physics & Appl mathematics and a long experience of software design and development in US industry. She has published several publications in the chemometrics literature on the design of experiments, mixture modelling, and process modelling and is one of the co-founders of Umetrics.
Chris Ambrozic, North American Operations Manager Chris Ambrozic joined the company in early 2000. He has a B.Sc from the University of Waterloo in Chemistry, and his M.Sc. work is in chemometrics from McMaster University’s Department of Chemical Engineering. Prior to working at Umetrics Chris has held a number of production and R&D positions in the chemicals industry. During his time at Umetrics Chris has held several positions including consultant and sales manager. One of his specialities is integration of data analysis into cross-industry infrastructure, including PAT concepts for the pharmaceutical industry, and FDC for the semiconductor industry.
Svante Wold, CSO Svante Wold has a PhD in Chemistry from Umeå University, Sweden, where he has been the Professor of Chemometrics since 1986. His research has concerned multivariate classification (the SIMCA method), multivariate regression (PLS), structure-activity relationships (multivariate QSARs and multivariate molecular design), and recently multivariate process modelling and monitoring (hierarchical modelling, on-line batch modelling). He is a member of the Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and is one of the co-founders of Umetrics.
Lars Lindström, Europe/Asia Operations Manager Lars Lindström is since August 2007 the European CEO and Sales Manager. Lars has a background from Ferring Pharmaceuticals. At Ferring Lars worked at the peptide purification department as well as with developing preparative scale purification methods for peptides. After working at Ferring Lars has worked at Separations Technologies in Rhode Island, USA (SepTech is a company focusing on preparative HPLC equipment), as a sales representative for Waters (Waters is a company focused on HPLC, Chromatography data systems and Mass Spectrometers) in Sweden and as International Sales Manager at DiLab in Sweden (DiLab is a company focused on automation of blood sampling from laboratory animals).
Åke Nordahl, CTO Åke Nordahl is the CTO of Umetrics since 2005. Åke holds a PhD in chemometrics from the University of Umeå. He joined Umetrics in 1993 and has worked with development of Umetrics' on-line and at-line software and teaching chemometrics at Umetrics' courses.
Norma Jean Gustavsen, North American Controller
Anna-Lena Bergdahl, European Controller Anna-Lena Bergdahl has worked in Umetrics since 1999. She has previous experience as Accounting Manager from the telecom industry. She has been the CFO of Umetrics since 2001.
