The CSO of Umetrics Group professor Svante Wold will make an oral presentation at Bioinformatics 2007. The title of the talk will be “Finding the information in high-dimensional bioanalytical profiles”.
Bioinformatics 2007 is the 9th annual international bioinformatics conference organized by the Society for Bioinformatics in Northern Europe, SocBiN. The conference aims to bridge the gap between applications of bioinformatics in such diverse fields as biological and biomedical sciences, mathematical statistics and computational science.
The contribution by professor Wold will deal with the suitability of multi- and megavariate projection methods to deal with the masses of complex data currently generated within metabolomics, proteomics, transcriptomics and other related fields. His presentation will cover traditional chemometric methods as well as recent extensions (OPLS, O2PLS, hierarchical models) to deal with multi-block and multi-layer data sets.
