Umetrics Biotech Brainstorming Event
Multivariate Analysis Off-Line and Real-Time Applications
The event gathered 19 attendees, 6 of those remote. The setting was small, but as a result the discussions were very interactive. Most attendees had used Umetrics software before and were able to compare experiences among one another directly.
Susan Dexter from BioPharm Services was pulled in to give an external view of the general state of the biotech industry. She had some nice slides on market trends and talked a bit about outsourcing of manufacturing and it’s risks. http://www.biopharmservices.com/
The technical presentations generated a lot of interest and discussion. People learn from each other and get excited and inspired to get moving themselves by seeing others good examples.
Nouna and Svante from Umetrics showed EZInfo, SBOL 3.2 and SIMCA 12. People took the chance to discuss modeling with Svante who showed slides on cluster analysis, PLS trees, OPLS etc.
Featured Speakers:
Cenk Undey, Amgen
"Data and Systems Management Towards Biopharmaceutical PAT-oriented Scientific Manufacturing"
Sanjeev Ahuja, MedImmune
"Use of MVDA for raw material characterization and screening"
Steve Hunt, Amgen
"Real-time Multivariate Data Monitoring in Downstream Processing"
Nouna Kettaneh-Wold, General Manager of Umetrics showed new products and upcoming releases of Umetrics Software Suite.
