In pharmaceutical manufacturing, unit operations are typically carried out in batches.
The trajectory of these batches from initiation to completion can be summarized into a multivariate signature, or fingerprint, using
SIMCA-P+.
Comparison with this historical fingerprint provides quality assurance of new batches and indicates the state of the process. These batch models may be executed in real-time using our
SIMCA-Batch On-line
(SBOL) software, with diagnostic tools for identifying the root-cause of problems as they occur.
