SIMCA-Q Products - Integrating or embedding multivariate technology into your system or application

SIMCA-P+ has become the standard for multivariate analysis, transforming huge datasets into information rich plots. Umetrics has made the core of this powerful software available for integration into your systems or products.

Umetrics offers a series of SIMCA-Q products:

  • SIMCA-QP - Real-time prediction engine (DLL) for system integration
  • SIMCA-QP+ -Real-time batch prediction engine (DLL) for system integration
  • SIMCA-QM -  Real-time modelling engine (DLL) for system integration
  • SIMCA-QM+ - Real-time batch modelling engine (DLL) for system integration
  • New SIMCA-QPe - Real-time prediction engine for embedded solutions

SIMCA-QP and SIMCA-QP+

These are low-footprint calculation engines developed for real-time multivariate predictions and classifications. They integrate seamlessly into your process software, and give you the power to perform instant multivariate predictions based on SIMCA-P+ models built off-line.

Take the value you have identified off-line and capture it in real-time!

SIMCA-QP and SIMCA-QP+ can be designed to run any number of projects and can be set up to run at intervals, or be event driven. SIMCA-QP and SIMCA-QP+ are identical with the exception that SIMCA-QP is designed for analysis, classification and predictions with continuous process data, whereas SIMCA-QP+ is designed for batch process modeling.

SIMCA-QM and SIMCA-QM+

These have the same functionality as SIMCA-QP/QP+ but can also be used for automated multivariate model building.

In today’s production and R&D environments, much time is spent building and updating models. There are many repetitive tasks involved each time a new model is built. In SIMCA-QM and SIMCA-QM+ this is automated via scripts, acting as reusable model building templates. By handling any model building task, these engines can save large amounts of time and resources.

SIMCA-QPe

SIMCA-QPe is constructed for embedded systems and offers great performance.

For example, with SIMCA-QPe compiled for an Arrow platform running Windows CE it is possible to get predictions at 250µsec from a PLS model with 50 input variables. Tests on Windows platform with a high-end CPU, produced predictions at 200kHz.

SIMCA-QPe can be compiled for various platforms and offers a very low memory foot-print; typically less than 100kB.

As for all SIMCA-Q, SIMCA-QPe utilizes models built in the off-line version of SIMCA-P+ and outputs parameters such as predictions, scores, contribution and diagnostics.

Possible applications are monitoring, conformity check, predictions, classification, and control.

SIMCA-Q Project Plan

SIMCA-Q is an ideal tool (.dll) for OEM and tailored applications for use of MVA, example files are available for following systems: COM, C, C#, C++, MatLab, MS Excel, HTML, Lab View and Visual Basic.

Here is a document telling: How to develop a SIMCA-Q project

Spend less time cleaning the data and more time interpreting the results.

Ideal for OEM Integration

Clients are increasingly looking for a one stop data solution.

If you are a data collection or process analytical provider interested in adding multivariate functionality to your software, contact us to discuss how to integrate SIMCA-Q products into your system using an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) solution.
